A voucher is generated in-app when a user completes a stamp card, enters a promo code, claims a reward against points, makes an in app purchase, or is rewarded during a campaign.
You can easily build all your vouchers on Yoyo Engage and use them in each element of your loyalty programme.
Where can I build Vouchers in Engage?
Click on "Create New" on the top right corner of the page.
There are 3 types of vouchers you can create:
- Free Item - offer your customers a voucher for a free item of your choice.
- Discounted Item - offer a % discount off an item of your choice.
- Meal Deal - combine items to create discounted meal deals.
How to create your free item voucher
1. Enter the voucher name:
This should be short and clearly describe the purpose of the voucher.
E.g. Free Iced Drink
2. Enter the product code(s):
These will be the product codes of the item(s) you want to create the voucher for.
E.g. Product codes for all hot drinks
3. Set the time conditions:
You'll need to set up the time conditions of the voucher's validity by choosing between:
- The voucher expiring after a specified number of days from the issue date
E.g. The voucher was valid for 30 days from the date it was issued to a user - The voucher only being valid between a set time period
E.g. For seasonal offers
4. Select the maximum number of times a voucher can be redeemed per customer:
You can increase this if the voucher is a multi-use voucher.
Note: 0 means the voucher is unlimited
5. Select the participating outlets where the vouchers can be redeemed.
6. Enter the voucher description:
Provide exact details on what the voucher can or can’t be redeemed on. This ensures your customers know what items are eligible.
We highly recommend that you include the following additional information:
- Products included:
List all products the voucher can be redeemed for.
E.g. “All Barista-prepared drinks are included."
- Products excluded:
List any products not included that may be ambiguous.
E.g. “Frappes (such as Raspberry or Caramel Frappe) are not included in this voucher.”
- Sizes:
Make it is clear which sizes are included in the offer.
E.g. “All sizes are included in the voucher (Large, Small, Medium)”.
- Extras:
Make it clear which extras are included in the offer. E.g. “Extras (whipped cream, additional coffee shot, syrup) are not covered by this voucher and will come at an additional cost”.
- Additional Terms & Conditions:
Be sure to include any legal information not covered in the previous sections.
7. Choose an image that reflects the content of the voucher.
The max file size is 2MB and dimensions should be 1920x1126.
Here’s what vouchers look like in-app:
Once you’ve saved and submitted your voucher, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Our team will then review the voucher within 48 hours.
Once approved, our team will notify you by email.
How to create your discounted voucher

1. Select the name of the voucher:

2. Enter the product code(s):
These will be the product codes of the item(s) you want to create the voucher for.
E.g.: All codes for jacket potatoes
3. Choose whether the discount is:
- a Percentage %
E.g. 20% - a decreased fixed price
E.g. £3.50
4. Set the time conditions of the vouchers’ validity by choosing between:
- The voucher expiring after a specified number of days from the issue date
E.g. The voucher was valid for 30 days from the date it was issued to a user - The voucher only being valid between a set time period
E.g. For seasonal offers
5. Select the maximum number of times a voucher can be redeemed per customer:

How to create meal deal voucher
1. Enter the voucher name:
This should be short and clearly describe the purpose of the voucher.
E.g: Sandwich Lunch Combo.
2. Choose the different items that should be grouped in the combo:
E.g. Product Group 1: Bag of crisps - Product Group 2: Sandwiches - Product Group 3: Soft Drinks.
3. Choose whether the discount is:
- a percentage %
E.g. 20% - a decreased fixed price
E.g. £6
4. Set the time conditions of the vouchers’ validity by choosing between:
- The voucher expiring after a specified number of days from the issue dateE.g. The voucher was valid for 30 days from the date it was issued to a user
- The voucher only being valid between a set time period E.g. For seasonal offers
5. Select the maximum number of times a voucher can be redeemed per customer:

Modify existing Vouchers
All your vouchers are available in the "Loyalty Schemes" section in Engage.
Then click on the voucher name of an existing voucher and then edit to modify it. Or you can also click on the pencil icon.
