Both the existing user and the new user can be rewarded with points, stamps or vouchers.

From trialling referral campaigns on the high street we know that a referred user is 4x as likely to become a retained customer versus all other acquisition sources.
How do Referrals work?
1. Customer Experience - Refer a friend (Referrer)
- App users see the campaign announcement in-app within your branded space
- By tapping on the banner, customers will then see the campaign conditions
- They then choose the channel and the friends they want to invite to download the app
2. Customer Experience - Register for Yoyo App (Referee)
- The referee receives the invite via the chosen social media platform
- They can then click on the link and download the app
- In two easy steps, this completes the signup process
3. Rewards Schemes
You can either reward:
- The referrer
- The referee
- Both parties to maximise consumer engagement and campaign success
Choose between incentivising their participation with points, stamps, or vouchers depending on what you think will have the most impact with your consumers.
You have the choice to reward participants at either of the following steps of the process:
Once the referee has downloaded and registered to the app
Once the referee has made a first transaction

A couple of rules
- To be successfully validated, a referee can only be referred once and must have never transacted with you before. Once the referee is acquired, they can still receive invites for other retailers within the Yoyo app.
- A referrer can send an unlimited number of invites to friends.
- The referee is unable to use their reward as their first transaction.
- Referral invites expire when the campaign ends. If rewards are vouchers, you have the flexibility to choose their lifetime.
For example, if the campaign ran between June 1st - July 31st, referral invites will only be valid during this time, but if the rewards during the campaign are vouchers, you can set the expiry date for these vouchers to September 30th.
The referral campaign won’t work in the following 2 scenarios:
- The invited user is already registered with the suggested retailer
- There is a poor connection
