A referral is successfully completed when the conditions of the referral have been met. This varies based on the requirements retailers have chosen.
The most common referral conditions are:
- Invite a friend to the app: this condition is met once the person referred creates a Yoyo account* through the referral link that was sent to them.
- Make a purchase: this condition is met once the person referred has made a qualifying purchase at the relevant retailer through the app. The person who sent the referral link also needed to have made at least one purchase on their account as well for the referral to be successful.

Also, please take note of the following:
* Any account created on a Yoyo-powered app is a Yoyo account.
* Please note that using a voucher does not count as a purchase and that all conditions need to be met before the expiry of the referral.
